Creating your MagicBand Order on your Computer
To order your MagicBand, you will need to sign in to your personal Disney account. If you have never set up an account before, you also have the option of creating one.
Make sure your Disney vacation is linked to your Disney account. You can do so by selecting My Disney Experience on the top right side and choosing my plans. If you are working with a free Disney Vacation Planner, they might have set this up for you already.
If not, select Link a reservation under Resort and use your confirmation number to add your Disney hotel reservation to your My Disney Experience account.
At this point, you should see a notification on your main screen that states, “Personalize Your MagicBand.” If not, head over to that My Disney Experience button on the top right of the screen and select MagicBands and Cards.
Verify your shipping address before you begin selection.
At this point, you can go ahead and select from the various options that Disney shows you. The cheapest MagicBands are the basic colored ones, while the themed bands get more expensive.
You will need to enter the name of the person or a nickname that will be printed inside of the MagicBand. You have up to 9 characters.
Follow the online prompts, make your payment, and get ready for some awesome MagicBands! You will get a notification to your email address linked to the account once they ship.

If you would rather order your MagicBand on the go, you can do so by downloading the My Disney Experience App on your Apple or Android device.
Login with the same credentials as you would on the computer and follow similar steps.

How to Buy Magic Bands Through Disney App
Unfortunately, as of now, it seems that you cannot buy Magicbands directly on the app. Any links that you click on will redirect you to the Shop Disney website.
While this may be a bit inconvenient for those who prefer to shop directly on the app, the Shop Disney website is still a great option to purchase your Disney merchandise, including Magicbands. They offer a wide variety of Magicbands, and you can even personalize them with your name or favorite Disney character.
Do I need a MagicBand?
When MagicBands launched in 2013, they came free of charge with your Disney resort reservation, but in 2021, Disney stopped including MagicBands for free and made them optional.
The short of it is that you do not need a MagicBand. In its place, you can use the traditional Disney card or the Disney app.

Do You Have to Order All MagicBands at the Same Time?
Whether you have to order all magic bands at the same time depends on whether you are a Disney Resort guest. The way the system is set up, everyone on a single reservation must order their magic band in one transaction. The MagicBands will be sent to the address linked to the primary Guest on that reservation.
So, unfortunately, your additional party member cannot place a separate order. You’ll have to have them let you know which MagicBand they would like and how they want their name written on the back, and then you can order it along with yours.
However, if the situation arises that you either could not order everything at the same time or missed your deadline, there is hope! You can still purchase a MagicBand at any Disney retail store.
How Much Do MagicBands Cost?
Because MagicBands come in a variety of styles, the prices vary as well. If you are a Disney Resort Guest, MagicBands can be ordered up to 10 days before your stay at a special discounted rate.
All other guests can purchase a MagicBand online or at select retail stores throughout Disney. The cost of Magicbands can range from $29.99 plus tax and up.
When do MagicBands Ship, and How Long Will It Take?
If you are a Disney Resort Guest and order your MagicBands before ten days of your check-in date, they will be shipped to you free of charge! If you customize your MagicBand between 9 and 5 days before your arrival, your MagicBand will be available to pick up at the Walt Disney World resort you are staying at.
How long do magic bands take to ship?: Once shipped, the MagicBands take about 11 days to arrive.
What if I Lose My MagicBand?
If you should happen to lose your MagicBand, don’t worry! You can deactivate it online or by calling (800) 905-4999. Disney will then be able to ship a new one to you.
Set up Disney MagicMobile Pass Instead
Guests without MagicBands can use the Disney app, which is free to download and does not require a reservation or purchase at this time.
