If you’re looking to save money, you can pack your own meals and snacks from home. This will require some advance planning, but it can help you stick to your budget.
Alternatively, you could choose to eat at less expensive restaurants and cafes.
The cheapest restaurant options at the Disney parks are what’s called quick service; they are similar to like a fast food location but with better quality food.
Breakfast – 3x
Breakfast can be accomplished in the hotel room or on the go. I say this because I always suggest to rope drop the parks, which means getting there 30 minutes before opening time.
That often can mean waking up super early, at like 6 am. For this reason, I suggest picking up a few grocery items and having them in your room for a quick breakfast.
Total cost for the weekend: $50
Lunch – 3x
You will find it’s easiest to get lunch at the parks. You will be hungry a little bit earlier than usual since you probably woke up early.
Depending on where you want to eat, your budget for lunch at Disney World should be around $25-$55 per person.
If you want to eat at one of the sit-down restaurants in the park, you can expect to pay around $30-$55 per person for a meal.
If you’re looking for a quick bite, there are plenty of places around the park where you can get a sandwich or burger for around $10-$15.
And if you want to save even more money, you can always bring your own lunch to the park. Just make sure you pack something that won’t melt in the Florida heat!

Dinner – 3x
There are a variety of restaurants throughout the parks and resorts, ranging from casual counter-service eateries to upscale table-service dining experiences.
The good news is that there’s something to suit every taste and budget.
A hearty meal at a counter-service restaurant will cost around $30 per person, while a more leisurely sit-down dinner can run $50 or more per person.
If you’re planning to dine at one of the themed restaurants, such as Cinderella’s castle or California Grill, be prepared to spend even more.
A good rule of thumb is to budget around $70 per person for these speciality dining experiences.

How much should you budget for tickets?
The cost of park tickets varies depending on the time of year and the length of your stay.
For example, a one-day ticket during peak season (December-February) costs $145 for adults and $139 for children.
If you’re planning to visit for two days, you can purchase a Park Hopper ticket, which allows you to visit multiple parks each day, for $185 per adult and $179 per child.
You can also add on the Water Park Fun & More option to your ticket for an additional $50 per person.
For a weekend at Disney World, I suggest a 2-day park hopper ticket.
Disney World Discounted Tickets
One of the best parts of planning a trip to Disney World is scoring discounted tickets!
However, discounted tickets don’t exist for 1-day or 2-day passes.

The cost of staying at a Disney hotel for one night can vary depending on the hotel and the time of year.

One of the things that make Disney World so appealing is its wide range of hotel options, which are divided into four tiers: value, moderate, deluxe, and deluxe villa.
Value hotels are the most affordable option and are perfect for families on a budget.

IS IT CHEAPER TO STAY ON DISNEY PROPERTY OR OFF?
Staying on Disney property definitely has its perks- from complimentary transportation and Early Theme Park Entry. to being able to book dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, there are a lot of reasons why it might be worth your while to splurge on a stay at a Disney Resort hotel.
However, that doesn’t mean that it’s always the cheapest option available. When it comes to finding the best deal, it really depends on when you’re planning to travel and what type of accommodations you’re looking for.
For example, staying at a value resort will almost always be cheaper than staying at a deluxe resort, but during peak travel times (like holidays and summertime) prices at all hotels tend to be higher.
If you’re flexible with your travel dates, you might be able to find some great deals off property during less busy times of year.
You will also get more bang for your buck offsite so if your per night budget isn’t super high, look offsite as it is technically cheaper to stay off Disney property.
