Can You Stay in Disney’s Cinderella Castle Suite?

Not everyone knows that Disney recreated Cinderella’s royal living quarters within their iconic park castle. Those of us who do strive to find a way to be one of a few allowed within the Cinderella Castle Suite.

Located behind the castle’s famed balcony and hidden in plain view from the masses of park visitors, the suite is a window into the behind-the-scenes private life of Cinderella and Prince Charming.

Lavish decorations abound! Disney spared no expense to transport their honored guests into a fairy tale world of luxury.

Children dream about being Cinderella as a child. I fell in love with the thought of finding a Prince (or Princess), Charming and living with magical furry friends. And who wouldn’t want to have a fairy godmother!? I even cried when the clock struck midnight, and the magic disappeared.

Can You Stay At The Disney Castle?

The thought of making that simple dream come true is too good to pass up. If you had the chance, wouldn’t you want to relive your childhood dreams and be pampered like a royal smack dab in the middle of the best theme park in the world?

So, the question we find in need of answering is, how can we create our own magical memories and stay in Disney’s Cinderella Castle Suite?

How to Book a Night in Cinderella Castle Suite

It is impossible to stay at the Disney World’s exclusive hotel by simply booking it on the website.

The hotel is not open for bookings in that manner, even for those who are willing to spend a fortune on a room.

Unfortunately, nobody can get a reservation there, no matter how wealthy they are.

If you go to Google.com/Alerts you can set up an alert system for the contests that can hopefully get you a stay.

Disney Cinderella Castle Suite Inside

First off, let’s check out what everyone is making a big deal over. Be prepared for opulence! The suite sleeps up to six people.

The massive bedroom houses two queen size beds adorned with custom made headboards. Each of these is inscribed with Cinderella’s crest.

The room is artfully decorated with antiques and reproductions from the 17th and 18th centuries. The support columns even have Bert, Mert, Luke, Mary, Suzy, and Perla carved into them! Surely, you remember them as Cinderella’s loyal mouse friends.

The parlor holds a French-inspired custom-made pull-out couch that sleeps two and a magic mirror that transforms into a television. Stained glass windows throughout the suite depict the story of Cinderella with colorful finesse. They also offer a colorful view of the park’s nightly fireworks.

Magnificent mosaics designed from hand cut glass and marble tiles decorate the walls and floors. Some of these contain up to 30,000 individual pieces!

A super relaxing jet-powered sunken bathtub allows you to bathe under a deep blue sky of illuminated stars. There is even a second handicap-accessible shower. Secret doors (because you know every castle has to have them) open to reveal storage space for your clothes and personal items.

Let’s not leave out one of the most important items in any Cinderella collection. Sitting on prominent display within the Cinderella Castle Suite are her crown and scepter and the fabled glass slipper that brought Prince Charming back into Cinderella’s loving arms. Several A-list celebrities have tried it on to find it did not fit. How do you think you would fare?

How much is the Cinderella Castle Suite?

I can imagine the question floating excitedly through your mind right now: how much did this luxurious experience cost? I hate to be the one to break your heart. But, while there are different charity events that offer a stay at the suite to the highest bidder, you will not find the Cinderella Castle Suite listed on your favorite hotel booking site. Disney does not offer the suite for everyday rental.

Just to give you an idea of what a stay can cost at a charity event, in 2019, ESPN offered a vacation package that included a one-night stay in the castle that they valued at over $10,000. The winning bid was $75,100! That is quite a price tag. At least the money was donated to a worthy charity.

How can I stay in Cinderella’s Castle?

During the Year of a Million Dreams (October 1, 2006 to December 31, 2008), Disney selected one lucky park guest each day to stay in the castle.. Unfortunately for all of us who want to stay in the suite in the near future, it is not for rent to the public.

I guess if you are a celebrity VIP, you might be able to convince Disney executives to let you stay a night or two. The rest of us can hope to win a contest or charity auction. If you keep a watchful eye on my blog, I will inform you when any new opportunities arise.

Can you tour the Cinderella Castle Suite?

Even though we are unable to sleep like a queen in her royal palace, we can escape into the Cinderella Castle Suite for a few glorious minutes of our Disney day. That is, if you are willing to pay a good chunk of money.

In 2019, Disney created a new Private Premium VIP Experience called the World of Dreams Tour. This is a 12 hour, fully customizable tour for up to 6 guests. As one of the tour’s options, you can add a private tour of the fairy tale suite to your day’s events. This day of adventure carries a hefty $12,000 price tag for the first day and $10,000 for each additional. Just think, if you get 6 friends together and split the cost, it is affordable and definitely a bucket list trip.

Who has slept in Cinderella’s Castle?

If you happen to become one of the lucky few who get to stay in the castle, you will be treading in the steps of some of our time’s biggest stars. It is always fun to know you stayed in the same place as one of your favorite celebrities. It adds a certain WOW factor to an already unforgettable experience.

Suri Cruise got to feel like a princess with her father, Tom, in 2012. Kevin Jonas took his wife there to celebrate their 1st anniversary. Katy Perry tried on Cinderella’s glass slipper during her stay. Neil Patrick Harris spent time with his husband and twins. Speaking of twins, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey took their pair to stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite as well.

What do you think? Are you ready to spend some time in the land of fairy tale royalty?
